For in-stock pieces, add them to your cart in the shop and check out online. For anything made to your measurements, a matching set for a group, or a regional style you do not see listed, start on our custom orders page or contact us directly.

We accept credit and debit cards - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover - processed securely through Stripe at checkout, plus Link for saved-card one-click checkout. We do not accept PayPal.

We are based at 805 51st St, San Diego, CA 92114 and work with dancers, dance schools and cultural organizations throughout San Diego County. Local pickup is not offered automatically at checkout, so contact us first at (619) 341-1202 to arrange pickup or an in-person fitting.

Yes. Group and school orders are a large part of what we do - matching sets, repeat seasons and coordinated sizing across a whole troupe. See the dance school and group orders section below, and our guide on buying ballet folklorico attire for school programs.

Order the larger size. A folklorico skirt is built to hold volume and weight, and a waistband can be taken in by a seamstress far more easily than it can be let out. If your measurements straddle two sizes, send them to us and we will tell you which one to take.

Yes. We stock folklorico dresses and outfits sized for children in our kids collection. Children grow between performance seasons, so measure close to the order date rather than reusing last year's numbers. Our parent's guide to kids folkloric dresses covers what to look for.

Men's attire uses chest, waist, inseam, sleeve length and neck. The jacket should close cleanly without pulling across the back, and the trousers are traditionally worn higher on the waist than modern pants. See our men's collection and our guide to authentic Mexican charro outfits.

In-stock pieces can be altered by a local seamstress - hem length and waistband are the two most common adjustments. Note that once a stock item has been altered it is no longer eligible for return or exchange, so confirm the fit before any alteration work begins.

The hem should clear the floor by roughly an inch when the dancer is standing in her performance shoes, so measure with the shoes on. In-stock items ship from San Diego, California. Transit time depends on the USPS service you select at checkout. If you are ordering against a performance date, contact us before you order so we can confirm current availability and realistic delivery timing.

Our shipping zone covers the United States and North America. If you are ordering from outside the United States, contact us before placing the order so we can confirm we can deliver to your address and quote the rate. Customs duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility.

Yes. USPS tracking is emailed to you as soon as the shipping label is created, and you can follow the package to your door.

Tell us the date first. Contact us with your performance date, the pieces you need and the quantity, and we will confirm what is achievable before you pay. This matters most for custom orders and group orders, where production time is the constraint rather than shipping.

No. Custom, made-to-order and altered items are final sale, because they are produced to the measurements and specifications you provide. The exception is a piece that does not conform to the specifications we confirmed with you, or where consumer-protection law requires otherwise. This is exactly why we confirm every measurement and fabric choice in writing before production starts.

Return shipping is the customer's responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged, defective or incorrect - in which case we cover it.

Contact us right away with your order number and photographs of the item and the packaging. Damaged, defective and incorrect items are our responsibility to put right, including return shipping.

In-stock items in unworn, unwashed, original condition with tags attached can be exchanged - contact us first with your order number so we can confirm the replacement size is available before you ship anything back. Custom and altered pieces cannot be exchanged. The reliable way to avoid this is to measure carefully before ordering.

The region is usually set by the choreography, not by preference - the dress has to match the dance being performed. If your group has not specified, ask your director which regional repertoire you are dancing. A complete outfit is more than the dress: it typically includes the dress or skirt and blouse, an underskirt or petticoat for volume, the correct footwear, and the regional accessories - rebozo, earrings, hair pieces or a sombrero. Four steps. First you send measurements, regional style preference, fabric selections and your performance timeline. Second we confirm the design details and give you a timeline and a clear pricing breakdown. Third production begins, with progress updates along the way. Fourth we verify the piece against the confirmed specifications before it ships. Nothing goes into production until you have signed off on the details.

Production time varies with the complexity of the piece, fabric availability and our current workload, and estimated timelines are not guaranteed delivery dates. Contact us with your performance date and we will give you a realistic timeline before you commit.

Custom pieces are produced specifically for you, so payment terms are confirmed as part of your quote. Contact us for the current terms on your project.

Usually, yes. Send clear photographs in good light - full length, plus close-ups of the trim, the ribbon banding and the waistband construction. If you can send us one of the existing pieces to work from, the match will be closer still. This is the most common request we get from dance schools replacing or expanding an existing set.

Group pricing depends on the piece, the quantity and the timeline. Send us your roster size and the styles you need and we will quote it.

Run one measuring session rather than collecting numbers piecemeal. Measure every dancer on the same day with the same tape, record bust, waist, hips and waist-to-hem for each, and send us the sheet as a single list. Our complete sizing guide works well as a handout for parents.

School and organization billing is handled case by case. Contact us with your institution's requirements and we will tell you what we can accommodate.

Yes - this is one of the main reasons groups come back to us. Send photographs and, ideally, one existing piece, and we will work from the same specifications so new dancers match the dancers already on stage.

Snug, with no slide at the heel. Zapateado drives force straight down through the heel, so a shoe that shifts will blister a dancer within one rehearsal and will muffle the sound. Size for the foot at the end of the day, when it is at its largest, and account for the socks or tights worn in performance.

Yes, if authenticity matters to your program. Rebozo weave, earring style, hair arrangement and footwear all vary by region, and a mismatched accessory is the detail judges and audiences notice first. Cross-reference our regional dress guide with the accessories guide before you buy.

Steam rather than iron. If you must iron, use the lowest setting with a press cloth between the iron and the fabric, and never press directly on ribbon trim or metallic thread. Hanging the dress in a steamy bathroom overnight resolves most travel creasing on its own.

On a padded hanger inside a breathable garment bag, with the skirt supported rather than hanging under its own weight. Avoid plastic dry-cleaning bags for long-term storage - they trap moisture. Store away from direct sunlight, which fades saturated dyes faster than anything else.

Fold along existing seams with tissue paper between the layers, or roll rather than crease. Unpack and hang the dress as soon as you arrive, and steam it the night before rather than the morning of the performance.
